A digital agri-food sector

To improve training and advice on digital skills, the generation and processing of information and financing and support for digital entrepreneurship, various actions will be given, some of them included in the Agri-Food PERTE, with a total amount of 64 million euros:

  • Launch of AgroInnpulso, a line of participative loans to support digital entrepreneurship in the agri-food sector, endowed with 33 million euros.
  • Creation of the Digital Innovation Hub to enable companies to undertake technological developments that respond to the challenges of the sector under fiware architecture.
  • The creation of a Digitalization Observatory for the agri-food sector that will continuously monitor the degree of adoption of new technologies, the establishment of a support platform for advisors in the agri-food sector to promote the flow of knowledge and interactions between the actors of the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS) and the implementation of a digital skills center to facilitate non-formal digital training.
  • Deployment of measures of the National Rural Development Program during 2022 and 2023 to promote training, the development of demonstration activities and digital advisory services through competitive grants.
  • Development of the Farming Information System (SIEX) that will simplify the relationship between farmers and livestock farmers and the administration, enabling improved management of agricultural and livestock policies. The SIEX project has an allocation of 20 million euros and is part of the Agri-Food PERTE and the Public Administration Digitalization Plan.
